Bala Soto is an educator with deep roots in Montessori and Yogic philosophy. Her training in the principles of the science of yoga began in her early twenties as a monastic at Satchidananda Ashram (Yogaville) under the direct guidance of Guru Sri Swami Satchidananda. When she became a mother, she decided to apply the yogic principles to the world outside of the ashram by becoming certified as a Montessori Guide. She raised her family while devoting herself as a elementary guide at the Austin Montessori School, working hand in hand with Donna Bryant Goertz for over 20 years.
As a credentialed EC Education Coach, during the past 10 years, Bala has worked for the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) of the state of NY, QUALITYstarsNY. During her tenure as Quality Improvement Specialist, her work touched the lives of 1800+ children, at over 30 Early Childhood Education programs throughout The Bronx. Providing key support in the implementation of this continuous quality improvement model to participating program leaders, the approach results in the development of improvement plans based on the initial needs assessment process. Using a facilitative and consultation based model this immersive approach to quality improvement includes the use of both technical and coaching practices recognized within the field as the tools that best support children, families, and staff in the development of their human potential.
Soto's experiences inspired her to begin cultivating curricula and philosophies of her own while deepening her practices. Throughout her career, her own internal motivation guided her to continually gain certifications as a Teacher Trainer for Early Childhood Educators, an Herbalist, a Birth Mentor and a Practitioner of Energetic Healing Modalities.
ClearOneSource (Communities Living in Empathy, Awareness and Remembrance) emerges as a natural progression of her journey to serve through self-discovery. Dedicated to serving the development of the fullness of human potential within early childhood educators, parents and communities around the world, she has developed a menu of offerings that embody both the curricula she has authored as well as a curricula she is certified within.
